When they arrived my first thought was "What the ____?" Containers look small. I mean very small! So small that seeing them nested inside each other infuriated me that I'd spent the same amount on food containers that seemed made for babies. But when you start using them, you see that they are actually very big. for balanced portions. I'm on a 1200-1499 calorie diet, which means I eat the following every day: 3 green vegetable containers (I can fit 3/4 cans of green beans in a container!) 2 purple fruit containers (I can fit 5 BIG chopped ones strawberries in a container!) 4 red protein containers (I can fit a whole cup of chopped chicken in a container) 2 yellow carb containers (I can fit about 1/3 of a large, mashed sweet potato in a container) 1 blue healthy fat container (I can pack a surprising amount of grated cheese in one container) 2 containers of orange seeds (haven't used that container yet) Download your food journal sheets and cards if you didn't buy a set with them and start planning your meals. You'll also need a container to put your food in, as you really won't be able to eat too well out of it. I'm actually worried about scheduling BUT I've found it difficult to control other factors like carbs, fats, fruits, veggies, etc. Although I may be eating few calories, I'm not really eating healthily. With this system, I can easily ensure that I am eating low carbs and calories, but high protein and food.
