This is a big and serious Corsair PSU

I've been using Corsair PSUs for 13 years now, I've never had a single problem with any machine I've built based on one (including several). Machinery). for family and friends). I have a couple of old x58 I7-980x computers that have been in constant use for ten years and are running on an older AX1200, the same big rebuilt power supply as the HX1200. Like the old AX1200, this HX1200 is mainly built with high quality Japanese capacitors. In addition to being rated 80+ Platinum over the older Gold-certified AX1200, a very significant improvement is the ability to use a toggle switch to split a huge single 12-volt 100-amp rail into multiple 40-amp maxs. , protected against overcurrent, 12 volt rails. . The old AX1200, like this HX1200, is built around a single-wire 12V rail, but the old AX didn't have the option of splitting the rails, allowing a device with a basic electrical fault to produce 1200W/100A via a single cable (low possibility, but nonetheless). The HX1200 finally solves this problem. Given that a PSU is one of the most important components you can buy when building a machine with high-demand components, it's far better to spend a few bucks more for a quality Corsair PSU that isn't the specification. For more than ten years they have been the best money can buy.
