Since most other plate grabs cost twice as much I was afraid to buy the cheaper one. But don't worry, he arrived and could lift a 50 pound leaf with ease. The design is made of comfortable aluminum and the plastic handle is pleasantly shaped. The claws are rubberized to prevent surface damage and all the screws holding them together have locking nuts to keep them from falling apart. One comment: it helps a lot if you tighten the screws a bit more so the jaws don't close when you lower the platen. This helps keep them open to select the next panel. In general: recommended.
