Use a good 12V source to change the pattern.
These lights are very bright and should work fine for my project. The wires are very thin which can cause problems but should be fine in the end. I had trouble changing the template, but I used a 3 amp charger as the 12 volt source. It did not work. Using a car battery as a source, changing the pattern was easy. I suspect the charger is low on power.
