These shoes are very comfortable even before the normal break-in period. There is a lot of room in the toe box (which was a big issue and a reason to buy). With regular soft socks, the heel didn't slip, and I didn't notice any part of my foot causing a hot spot after a full day's walking. The ankle area has a noticeable impact on walking support (I have a Charcot foot on the right side and stroke recovery on the left). Ankle support is crucial. Comfortable Charcot zone with perfect support without pain. Shoes give you a noticeable forward thrust when you walk, and that can help you get used to standing in them. While the outsole with a wider base prevents the ankle from twisting. , I noticed that I was leaning backwards too much, leading to slight balance problems. I honestly think it's just getting used to the more constant wear. This will not affect my purchase decision. They appear to be well built and sturdy, I was expecting them to be heavier than they are. I can't tie the laces at the moment and have replaced them with elastic ones that make them easier to put on and the support is still constant and comfortable. Follow the assembly instructions in the description. This is a highly recommended purchase and I am pleased to be able to offer this review. I'm glad I made this purchase.
