Review on 🛍️ Gallon Size Ziploc Vacuum Bags - 8 Bags Pack by Matthew Gomatham

I bought these for long term storage not freezer. I've found that in half the time (at best) the bags don't hold an airtight vacuum seal and the tight crease disappears and they look like regular ziplock bags. I was really focused on doing the pressure well beforehand and it doesn't seem to matter. I even tried putting a drop or two of oil on the gasket and running it end to end, thinking it might help hold the airtight vacuum better, and that didn't seem to matter either. I also put some tape on the air valve part (where you suck out the air) and that doesn't make a difference either. Half (or less) work correctly and half don't. I believe I will need to upgrade to a more expensive food vacuum sealer and the bags that come with that system for reliability reasons. So for those who don't use them in the freezer or will use them right away, be aware that the hermetically sealed vacuum seal may not last long.
