I really like the material, it's like terry cloth with a waterproof backing that doesn't make noise or sweat while you sleep. At first I found it a bit odd, but now I see that it really stays in place! We had another waterproof one and it slipped all the time. Fortunately this is not the case. It was easy to wash and put on the bed. It fits our 12" mattress very well.
