Basic Physics - As the level lengthens, so should the accuracy. I have a few longer tiers and a few shorter tiers, so I was looking for a good in-between size. I knew it was slightly larger than the "standard" 9" but 33% longer, I'm hoping for slightly better accuracy. It's got your basics - the horizontal. vertical. 45° with an extra bubble for inch rise above 1 in. That can help, but it's only 1-5 inches, so not much here.
