Good product. Boxes get damaged from time to time

To the guy who gave this 3 stars. Maybe he should have done some research before buying. Almost every new Nissan/Infinity requires you to run a separate power wire to the battery. Not all vehicles require this, but new Nissan models can detect lamp failures and notify the driver. For this reason, it is not recommended to draw power directly from the rear lights, as this can disrupt the operation of the system. I wish there was a system that didn't require a separate power line, but there isn't (at least not for my 2014 Altima). I contacted several manufacturers including Tow Ready and Hopkins. Installation was pretty easy. DO NOT route cables inside the vehicle. This is the most time-consuming method (but offers the best protection for the wire). The easiest way to do this is to follow the existing wiring harness that exits outside/under the car, or drill a small hole in the bottom of the trunk and run the wire along the bottom of the car, heading towards it care must be taken that it is not pinched or placed next to it. anything it can burn. Then simply connect to the positive pole of the battery. Wiring shouldn't take more than 20 minutes or so. If you have a long stiff wire you might be able to run it inside the frame for protection, but with normal use the wire will be fine. I gave it 4 stars because my converter boxes failed. It doesn't (yet), but they tend to fail. I've seen that happen with other manufacturers too, so it doesn't apply to Kurt.
