Dear YouTube is good for wiring

It was a little difficult to route the power line from the back to the battery but thanks to YouTube for the clear picture of my car.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy to install once you know what you are doing. This is necessary as the car's circuitry doesn't allow the brakes to work with a regular 4 pin connector which needs to run the wire to the positive pole and you need to know how to run through the car but works for my customers it excellent jet ski trailer.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

Works and fits well

Does what it's supposed to and was easy to install. I routed the wires into the car and used the fuse tap in the fuse box for the power supply. Install the included large fuse holder and mount it in the back of the car trunk. It is simply used as a switch for the converter. The fuse is connected when towing. We hope this will prolong the life of this expensive converter. It only turns on when towing, and that's only a few times a year.

Pros
  • Handy item

  • I vaguely remember

Easy to install, power cord required

I bought this for my Altima Hybrid to tow a small 4x4 trailer. I figured the wiring harness was just plugged in and getting power from the bulbs it's connected to. I was wrong. You need to run the cable (which is included) to the battery and secure it with a 10A fuse. All items required for installation are included. It's easy for me as my battery is in the trunk of the car. Others require you to remove the seats and carpet, log into the firewall, and connect that way. Good luck with that PITA.

Worked as stated.

The plugs matched the tail light plugs on my Nissan Maxima perfectly. As other reviewers have pointed out, the trickiest part is connecting a separate 12V DC power cable to the battery. On my car, it was fairly easy to run a wire under the internal firmware from the trunk to the dash fuse box. Choose an empty spot with at least 10 amps and install one of these fuses with a pigtail making a fusible link. Choose a fuse socket that is powered by the ignition and make sure you insert it in the…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Good product. Boxes get damaged from time to time

To the guy who gave this 3 stars. Maybe he should have done some research before buying. Almost every new Nissan/Infinity requires you to run a separate power wire to the battery. Not all vehicles require this, but new Nissan models can detect lamp failures and notify the driver. For this reason, it is not recommended to draw power directly from the rear lights, as this can disrupt the operation of the system. I wish there was a system that didn't require a separate power line, but there isn't…
