The alarm switch is in a problematic spot
I like the pet door, it was difficult to install in a plastered wall. I like the alarm, but I don't like where the alarm slide on/off switch is. So to turn on the alarm you need to 1. turn on the switch and 2. use the slider. To turn off the alarm you must then 1. pull out the slider to access the power button 2. turn off the alarm that goes off. the switch was placed above the slider, it didn't ring when the homeowner pulled it out. The reason I bought it is to have this feature, but I certainly don't want it to go off every time I turn the alarm on.
