Not Ideal for Weatherproofing

Based on our own experience with this product, we were disappointed with its ability to keep out the elements. While it did provide a sturdy barrier for our pet, it didn't quite live up to its supposed weatherproofing capabilities. As far as pet supplies go, this gate may be useful for indoor use only, but we wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use in harsh weather conditions.

Pros
  • Sturdy barrier for pets.
Cons
  • Doesn't work as a weatherproof gate.

Used item. Missing disclosures.

I received this mount and found that the screws that came with it are not the right size for a standard wall mount. This product was sold as new but apparently someone opened the box. The 9 1/2" screws were missing. Now I have to tape them together to hold them together and weigh them down for a few weeks for the screws to be supplied by the company.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

The alarm switch is in a problematic spot

I like the pet door, it was difficult to install in a plastered wall. I like the alarm, but I don't like where the alarm slide on/off switch is. So to turn on the alarm you need to 1. turn on the switch and 2. use the slider. To turn off the alarm you must then 1. pull out the slider to access the power button 2. turn off the alarm that goes off. the switch was placed above the slider, it didn't ring when the homeowner pulled it out. The reason I bought it is to have this feature, but I…

Pros
  • Stupid 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
