Not quite, the battery died after turning it on 4x

I bought this range finder for hunting and shooting. It didn't come to that. I tested it the first time and gave me the wrong reading: the furthest target it showed was 161 yards, then when I measured the second target, which was closer, it told me it was 198 yards away. I tried two more times to turn it on, which means I pressed the button to read the tree that said 28 yards, which was about rite, then I pressed the range button again on the other tree and it read 34 yards , which was also roughly ritual removal. A few days later finally got to where I really needed it and a flash would flash to indicate the battery was low and it showed a target of 65 yards at 31 yards and it continued to read 31 yards for everything, regardless of distance and shutting down as soon as it is read. Apparently the laser had been down for a week due to low battery and wasn't reading properly. When I saw that it took a 3 volt CR battery I assumed it was a CR123 battery of which I have many, but that wasn't the case. It comes with a cheap Chinese CR 3 volt battery which is smaller than a CR123 battery and not easy to find anywhere. So I'm returning it and buying another one that uses a CR123 battery or a more readily available battery and hopefully a range finder that will last a lot longer in the field than 4 separate readings. Unfortunately, this is my review and rating for this product. I had high hopes but was very disappointed. I try to find the good in everything. If it worked accurately and the battery lasted long it would be the best thing I've ever had because it was small, light, felt good in the hand, easy to use and had modes and modes that I think all were rangefinder should have. . But it failed to do what it was originally made for, which was to accurately measure distance.
