The location of the screw holes made installation much more difficult than it should have been. I had to hold the screwdriver at an awkward angle to even get close. The screws that came with the stand were too thin and short to cut well into the wall, even with anchors; Good thing I still have real ones from another project. After half an hour and a lot of words I probably shouldn't have known, the rack is semi-securely attached to the wall of my laundry room, supporting the broom. If he behaves, I might add a scoop later. I wouldn't want to attempt this with something as heavy as a wet mop or garden rake. The plastic that makes up this rack seems strong enough for lighter tools like brooms, so I'm sure it will do the job I bought it for, but unless the manufacturer changes the screw hole design, I don't think I would buy another one.
