I bought these furniture straps for a number of reasons, the main one being that I needed something to hold the headboard firmly to the wall. I have an adjustable bed so I can't attach the bed frame to the headboard to keep it stable. Before I installed a pair of these straps, every time I raised my adjustable bed, the headboard would fall on top of my headboard and almost hit my head. And unfortunately it wasn't possible to lean the headboard against the wall because then it was crooked and just didn't look right. After I installed these straps on either side of the headboard and threaded the zipper strap through both holes, it pulled the headboard against the wall and has stayed there ever since. Since I have all the necessary tools (screwdriver, drill, awl, etc.), the installation only took about 15 minutes. However, I STRONGLY recommend that you enlist the help of another person if you plan on using them to mount/fix something heavy to the wall, such as a wall mount. B. a headboard, a bookshelf, a cage, etc.
