Not worth it at Kitchen & Dining

If you really don't like the look of this product then there is no reason to buy it. This is not a great or even a very good coffee maker. Especially for the price. First, as others have pointed out, the coffee pot can break. My coffee pot didn't last 4 months (I bought the car in early October 2020, the kettle broke in early February 2021). The pot handle broke when I lifted the pot off the (top) shelf of the dishwasher. It wasn't an unusual force or anything special to get it out of the dishwasher. The plastic handle broke in my hand (see photo). It's true that the instructions say not to put the coffee pot in the dishwasher (and that's why the company won't replace my coffee pot), but for $200 you'd think a dishwasher-safe coffee pot would be provided could. I do not think so. Buyer Warning. (A new kettle is $85 including shipping and handling.) Second, the coffee pot spout doesn't let you pour coffee quickly. Coffee must be poured from the coffee pot into the cup very carefully and slowly. If you attempt to pour coffee at a speed faster than "very slow" the coffee will run down the side of the pot and then onto the counter or floor. I used this machine every day for about 4 months. I cleaned the coffee maybe ten times. Of course there is a better way to design a pot. Third, driving a car is neither intuitive nor easy. The buttons make no sense. To change the time you have to use a combination of buttons on the front and a lever on the side (The lever has no function other than changing the time. Basically it's just for show.) For some functions you can don't just press the button, you press the combination keys at the same time. Good luck remembering exactly what does. Finally, as others have pointed out, there is a very small area that you can pour water into (since I was pouring water from a jug (with a good spout!) this wasn't a problem) and the coffee can only stay hot in one hour before the device turns off automatically. It would be nice if you could let the machine run indefinitely. As a result, the machine brews hot coffee. Like any regular $20-$50 coffee maker. I found no difference between this machine and my previous one which was much cheaper (and had a better coffee pot). One star for reaching the minimum.
