Review on LG 32UL500-W Display - FreeSync Compatible 31.5" 4K UHD, Wall Mountable, 32UL500W, HD by Shug Dortch

Pros: 4K resolution Cost Cons: Brightness is lower compared to IPS panels. I've been using this device for a few hours now and I'm comparing it to the same size LG but with an HD IPS panel. I bought this device because my wife needed another device and I needed a 4K resolution to fit my computer (laptop) screen. This helps with multiple work programs that require all displays to be the same resolution. So far, right off the bat I can tell that you lose some brightness and the default colors are a bit warmer for this device. It's really good when you're working with documents, especially CAD files, because the extra resolution lets you see things better and see more of the drawing without having to scroll. Since this is my main goal, I am very satisfied with the purchase. I watched the film in 4K and it looks good and meets my expectations for a computer screen. I haven't played any games on it yet, but I don't expect any problems with it. All of the fast-moving scenes in the film looked sharp and I didn't notice any lag. I'm sure there can be better screens for gaming but that wasn't my goal and given the price I think most gamers would agree that this is an acceptable screen. Overall, I give 4 stars because the IPS brightness of my HD monitor (same screen size, same manufacturer) is nicer. However, for the price, this is a great option and I highly recommend it. I am happy with the purchase.
