Money can't win

I signed up for a three week sprint triathlon and had no idea what I was getting myself into. To be honest I didn't even know freestyle and foolishly thought I would learn it in such a time. It turns out it doesn't take that long to swim GOOD BUT - I still finished first for my age group, mostly for wearing this suit to the race. My transition went so smoothly because I didn't have to deal with awkward, wet changes. Before the swim I was most nervous because not only did some of my friends not know HOW to swim, but that it was going to be bad. The idea is to wear a bathing suit as this creates resistance. In truth they may be right, but I'm not a good swimmer to know that. I wasn't wearing a wetsuit and thought everything was fine. It's sleeveless and fits in all the right places, so I didn't notice anything. I was also nervous about the bike leg because the suede is so thin I was skeptical it would do any good other than sewing some tree leaves on there. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was great and I think I still have a chance to reproduce children if the desire arises. Finally running. This is important not only in terms of comfort and performance, but also because people will judge you by what you wear at the finish line. You can walk like Usain Bolt, but if you're dressed like a day laborer, people will assume you were part of a relay team or just less athletic. I felt very comfortable although it was still dry after the swim so nothing to complain about in that regard. As I crossed the finish line, people asked me if I did Ironmen (difficult, no). very different - but it was also $350 and I will never pay that because I will stick with an affordable costume or get sponsored because so many people are screaming my name and throwing confetti as I cross the finish line like a champion.
