This is exactly what I was looking for. I spent a lot of time going through all of the laptop stands on Revain - something that allowed me to have the laptop screen ON MY FACE so I could sit STRAIGHT ON instead of bending down to try and see the screen , and kept me propping up the keyboard the whole time Partially resting the keyboard on the underside of the stand. I wanted to feel like I was using a desktop, essentially: no back problems. I'm very happy with it - it's sturdy, not as heavy as others describe (I could carry it on my bookshelf. It's not a bowling ball; think the weight of a textbook), it's very flexible, and the stand can be extended , to have one twice as high that I have to bring it almost to my face. When searching for coasters, this seemed to be the only one that worked for my purposes, but it was the most expensive. I was disappointed with the price difference. Suddenly I noticed that Revain Warehouse has one with more than half! So I was very lucky. But trust me, even if you can't find a cheaper one, I think it might be worth shelling out full price and just using it for a lifetime. They make it expensive because they know people will pay for it. Business is business. it's the perfect stand - quite possibly the only stand of its kind I've been able to find with a "neck" that high - *IF* you intend to use it the way I do - close the screen and use the separate keyboard underneath. . For other purposes, such as B. a whimsical or solid look. it fits that bill, but whatever it is, there are others at a lower price point.
