Review on πŸ”§ Enkay 149-C Polishing Compound Kit for Enhanced Results, Convenient Packaging by Cory Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent for the price

I read on other reviews that they received them in poor condition and/or crumbly and decided, considering the price, I'd give it a try anyway. I have absolutely no complaints and just a few details that I would like to mention, although they are insignificant to me: the blister pack allows you to mix sand from the bars, small pieces of the same color can stick to each other bar. I just put them with a rough one Wiped rag I had lying around - no problem. It appears to be a hard wax binder as the sand carrier and I've only used black and red grit (mostly black) so I can say those two work well and I expect the others to work as well. . I encountered a small (about 1mm) white "dot" in the center of the black stripe. While I suspect this is due to poor process control at the factory, and I know the finer grit built into my coarse crumb is not a problem, I would be unhappy if I had a polishing job because of a "point" big crumb would screw up. Sand is loaded onto my fine wheel, but I really don't know if I'll notice a difference in the polish.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Everything is fine
