works very well also for beginners like me including instructions super

I read all the reviews to know what to expect as I had never used polishing pastes. I expected them to be softer, like beeswax, but after reading the very detailed and easy to read instructions I realized I was wrong. Softer rods work for many and are a waste of the mix. If used properly, they should last a long time. I have polished brass, copper, steel, stainless steel, nickel and aluminum with excellent results. I have to thank Enkay for a great product, excellent tutorial and composition…

Pros
  • many positive emotions

Worked EXCELLENT, just "looks " dried out and brittle.

I was worried they would dry out and just crumble and when they arrived they looked like powdery so I opened them up and took one and it seemed kinda difficult. I was nervous. I grabbed the buffing wheel and added a little to the pads as they spun. It did NOT crumble or scatter powders all over the place and worked great. I just think they use a stronger drying compound than some. He polished and removed the light surface rust that had developed on the barrel of my 1911. Worked GREAT. I would…

Versatile packaging at a great price

Several people asked how much each bar weighed. Weight varies by connection type. Here is what I measured in order of fineness: black emery 6.41 oz (181.7 g), brown tripoli 4.56 oz (129.3 g), white diamond 5.05 oz (143.1 g ), Green Stainless Steel 5.79 oz (164.1 g) Red Jewelery Blush. 5.55 oz (157.4 g) Blue All Purpose 5.55 oz (157.5 g) The package I received from PJ Tool & Supply was normal, not dry or cracked; They have the consistency of thick crayons and are used on buffing wheels. Enkay's…

Excellent for the price

I read on other reviews that they received them in poor condition and/or crumbly and decided, considering the price, I'd give it a try anyway. I have absolutely no complaints and just a few details that I would like to mention, although they are insignificant to me: the blister pack allows you to mix sand from the bars, small pieces of the same color can stick to each other bar. I just put them with a rough one Wiped rag I had lying around - no problem. It appears to be a hard wax binder as the

Polishing and waxing kits

I make hand stamped metal jewelry and really can't find enough polishing supplies lol. In addition to the things I've already made, I've looked at my own beautiful jewelry (gold, silver, platinum, etc.), the beautiful jewelry of my family and friends. You get the idea lol. I want to polish EVERYTHING! Also, most of my sterling silver is owned by Tiffany & Co. (stick with me, here. I'm trying not to show off. Heck, I can't afford gold or diamonds from this place when I'm selling my firstborn…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

6 different beans. Each stick is very hard. EASY fix, just heat with a hair dryer until soft, then you can touch the rotating sanding belt or buffing wheel or put your thumb on the belt - be careful not to get too hot. The best edges I've had in a long time. I also use diamond paste - I don't see much of a difference and it's a lot cheaper. I apply different grits to different areas of the soft side of the leather belt (6-9 inches). You can also apply it to the smooth side of the skin, but I…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

This is a handy and fairly affordable selection of different mix grains as each colored bar weighs about 5-6 ounces giving you about 2 pounds of mix for about $7 a pound. Seems like a good option to experiment with different grits for sharpening leather belts. After that, green and black seem to be all you need. While white is a popular choice for some blades, chisels, and especially leather cutting tools. Brown doesn't seem to be able to do anything black can't do better. Both the red and blue
