I was worried they would dry out and just crumble and when they arrived they looked like powdery so I opened them up and took one and it seemed kinda difficult. I was nervous. I grabbed the buffing wheel and added a little to the pads as they spun. It did NOT crumble or scatter powders all over the place and worked great. I just think they use a stronger drying compound than some. He polished and removed the light surface rust that had developed on the barrel of my 1911. Worked GREAT. I would definitely buy this again. The information on the back telling you what each strip is for and the level of polish is useful so you don't have to look up what each color is for and what you can use it for. It was a good deal and a great price.
