I have been looking for a long time to purchase an outdoor sewer cleaning plug. The windshield wipers banged against it, chipping off bits of plastic. A replaceable plastic cap was fitted to a bare tube (protruding approximately 3 inches into the yard) but repeatedly broke off. Then they turned the plastic stopper over so the square was in the tube. That would solve the problem but the water would stand in a niche etc. As we have a small garden muddy water was unsightly and also a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Enter this brass solution. This final version was placed in an open tube. That's enough. My only complaint is that the "threaded" sides of the brass connector are about 1/2" too small for what I need. So it sinks about 1/2" into the pipe when screwed in. That can water still collects in there after rain. It's not too much of a hassle so this seems to be my final solution. It seals the hole so the wipers can't damage it.
