Panasonic RPHC101K Slim Z Noise Canceling Headphones

I bought the Panasonic RPHC101K Slim Z Noise Canceling Headphones as a gift for a friend who wanted a compact and portable headphone to listen to her iPad. The noise cancellation takes a little getting used to, but I didn't rate it. The sound quality of these headphones was satisfactory. They have reasonable bass response but are dull and muddy in the mids and highs. However, if your device has a frequency equalizer function or just a treble control, you can significantly improve the sound in these headphones by boosting frequencies above around 500 Hertz. Spoken words and vocals become significantly clearer, as does music in the 1000 to 8000 hertz range. Nevertheless, the purity and transparency of the music in these headphones is in no way inferior to good headphones. However, for the price, they are good value for money. You can spend a lot more and get the same sound quality. They sit over the ear and feel comfortable. When folded, they are compact enough to fit in a regular handbag. Their signal sensitivity (impedance) is suitable for use with iPods and other small players.
