The Satechi USB-C hub for iMac fits perfectly into the air vents of the iMac and offers 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB-C and SD port and Micro SD slots. This makes it easy to eject SD cards and micro SD cards, as well as connect a USB-C SSD for video and photo editing. You can block the iMac speaker so the hub doesn't have to be completely on either side of the iMac. Where I put it, everything works fine. There are a few things that could be improved on the hub. First, the SD card reader is UHS-I only. This means that it is not proof of the future. The inclusion of a UHS-II SD card slot would have made this hub a much better investment. Second, it blocks some iMac air vents. It's part of the design and aesthetic, so it's a compromise. If it could be engineered to allow air to flow through the top or back rather than completely blocking that area, it would provide better airflow for the iMac. All in all a great purchase! However, I will look for a UHS-II card reader version.
