After two weeks of wearing these at work, they have started to peel. You can see from the pictures that the rubbery synthetic coating is pealing away from the spongier synthetic boot wall. My first clue should have been the fact that my initial coating of boot oil (which I apply to all of my new leather boots) did not soak in at all. I had to wipe it off after 3 days, because it just sat there on the surface. I assumed that the boots must have come with a very intense factory oil coating. Wrong! The other clues are from other customers who report that the boots are really stiff, or really hard to break in. Well, that’s because they are not leather. False advertising here. It even states "full leather upper” on the boot tag inside of the boot. Not so.
