These fly swatters are very thin and made of light plastic, nothing strong. There is a delay when you hit the bug as the end of the swatter catches up with the handle as you hit it. You can't even hit it hard as there's little to no force due to the brittle plastic, and it can't even crush a bug or fly with that little force because it's so weak. I would recommend paying a little more and getting a different and better quality fly swatter than this one.
