Works great! My 2013 MacBook Pro's magsafe 2 retina adapter was starting to wear out and I was struggling to figure out a way to fix it. I've tried shrink wrap, but the ones big enough to put on a fork didn't shrink tight enough to stay in place. I thought about using duct tape but knew it would leave a mark and wouldn't last long. I was a little skeptical when I discovered this product because I figured if it could slide around the end of the Magsafe 2 connector it would be too loose on a real cable, but I was wrong. The "collar" is 3/4" long, which is shorter than I needed, but I was able to fold two of these together for a total length of 1.125". It fits snugly over the thinnest part of the power cord, so it doesn't move after installation. I even tried tugging to change its position but it didn't move. The material is quite dense but soft and pliable. Seems very solid and probably helped some reviewers comment on how difficult it is to install. However, it took less than a minute to install both. This requires some arm strength, but not to the point where it will hurt your arm. The only drawback is the dust magnet. Although it looks 100 times better than before!
