I love french press coffee and maintaining a high temperature for 3-6 minutes of brewing is key. This little coffee maker is cute, a good weight and decent build, but it's not vacuum insulated. Heat radiates into your hands, especially if you don't have the supplied neoprene jacket. All in all, this is a decent, plastic-free, stainless-steel coffee maker and makes decent coffee. I wish it was vacuum insulated as this technology has been around for a while. All of my travel mugs are vacuum insulated and remain cold to the touch even when hot liquid is poured inside. Other than that, it's a good little brewer and travel-friendly too.
