I measured with a micrometer and the facet size is 83.4mm not 84mm. So with a little pressure I can get it just easy - and very tight! - on the cover of the oil filter Sprinter 84mm/14gran. BUT then I can't remove it without using a wrench to pinch the female connector and then wiggle and pull at the same time. I think I could leave it there like someone else said but if it vibrates and falls off. . .bottom line; very durable and it got the job done with little difficulty. Why not just make it THE RIGHT SIZE?!
