This cable is a great alternative to the official Oculus communications cable, costs half the price and works great. If you're using a cable, you'll need to make sure it's plugged into a USB port that connects directly to your GPU. If this is not the case, the connection will not be maintained and will not work. I don't know why that is, but it's not that big of a deal. So if you're having connection issues, make sure it's connected directly to your GPU.
