I purchased this backpack in October 2019. It is now August 2020. I felt uncomfortable carrying my gear with me. It looks like it did like the remaining thread is about to unravel and drop my gear to the ground. When I bought it I was given a 3 year warranty with product registration. I registered my backpack. What I didn't read in the fine print is that the manufacturer has the right to change its warranty terms at any time without notice.During the time that has elapsed since my purchase, they have decided to force their customers to pay for warranty shipments as the delivery of goods to and from their facility. The shipping to them costs about $20 The manufacturer charges $9.99 if they continue to replace your product under warranty That's about 50% of the cost of a backpack! My backpack is less than It's lasted a year and I have to pay 50% of the cost of the backpack to get warranty service. To me, this is an example of a manufacturer not supporting their product. They expect it to fail, so they have a system in place that allows them to override the warranty at any time and pass the cost of the replacement on to their customers. Rather than pay 50% for a bad product and then deal with it again in less than a year, I will look for a different backpack from a different manufacturer. This time I'll take a closer look at the warranty conditions before buying.
