Review on Crankbrothers Highline Dropper Seatpost Universal by Samuel Groove

Good product! Best in Parts & Components

I can't see how this product can be beat, especially at this price point. The remote is very versatile in terms of placement. You can easily build this into any setup. Installation may take some time, but the main thing is to make sure that the place where the cable is attached to the bottom of the rack is done according to the instructions (on the cable attachment and on the bottom there is an arrow of the to be aligned post). If done correctly, you shouldn't have a problem with the strut sliding when it's locked. Also, I had a little break-in period where I had a little slip at the very beginning, but then it went away. I attribute this to cable stretch, so I'm not surprised considering all new cables stretch. The barrel adjuster proved to be very practical for fine adjustments when the cable is stretched. What you should pay attention to is the overall length of the post. Crank Brothers has this information on their website. I highly recommend taking a look and measuring your current post before ordering. Actually, I initially settled on a 160mm drop, but my bike's seat tube isn't straight and has solder points for a water bottle cage that fits into the seat tube. The 160mm rack was too long for my setup so I had to replace the sorting rack with a 125mm rack.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
