Neither Original nor Replacement will fit

The dehumidifier I received initially worked fine in terms of sound and light, but did not collect water and did not lower the relative humidity, which was around 80%. The exchange takes about two minutes; then its lights would flash, the controls wouldn't work, and it would shut down. Of course I returned it. I am installing an exhaust fan instead of a dehumidifier.
