For my job, I inspection apartments and houses for health and safety issues. One thing I've always been frustrated about it testing the smoke detector. I'm way too short.I usually ask a client if they have a broom I can use to poke their detector.One day, when I was using a back scratcher that extended like this, I thought maybe I could use it for the purpose of testing the smoke detectors, but it collapsed with pressure on the test button.But then I found this handy thing. I know that's not the conventional way to use it, but it works great for my need. It's very sturdy (and folds likely in my inspection clipboard)
