Cheeky 8lb Dog Tie

I recently got a 2 year old 8lb Yorkie/Feist mix from a shelter. She looks like a Yorkie but has the personality and demeanor of a Feist. Lights up quickly, likes to run wide all the time. He sees a squirrel, runs off into the woods, sometimes across the street, sometimes in the other direction. Don't catch her when she's running and thinking "come on". But when I hold her by the retractable leash, she walks beside me instead of running away. I work 8-10 hours a day from home on my computer, so I don't have 30 minutes to chase after her when she starts those wild tears (and I can't face the thought of her getting hurt). But she loves to run and needs this exercise. My yard is an acre tall so hopefully using a tie will be a compromise for both of us. I used a small 6ft leash to attach it to the harness and attached the cord to the other end of the leash. The cable clamp feels heavy and yanks it to one side. The cable itself is very light. I'll only be using it for about 30 minutes a day, but hopefully it makes us both happy! For now she's just sitting there but once she knows you can move I'm sure it will be perfect. It's been about an hour, so I can't give any further feedback. I attached it around a post instead of using a spring which I think you should stick into the ground. Hope my photos help. I have also included packing instructions.
