These are beautiful, beautifully crafted pens. The color payoff is amazing (VERY bright and saturated with just one pass of light/application), they blend easily and are a pleasure to use. I would compare them to either my Holbeins or Lightfast pencils. My only issue with these pencils, and this is my personal preference so I won't be giving them stars, is that they are TOO smooth. I like pens with a little "stickiness" so I can feel like they're moving along the grain of the paper - it slows down my drawing/painting and I just love how it feels. You are like butter. They are too smooth for me, even on rough paper, but almost too good (in terms of color reproduction) not to want to use them all the time. Note: Presumably this is the same as Markart. I have no idea, but if you have a Markarth you can research it before you buy it. Heads-up only for pencil collectors. Enjoy!
