Review on New Balance Womens 860V11 Medium Sports & Fitness by Mac Quigley

Prior to purchase, I contacted NB directly to ask for their purchase recommendations. I have worn 411 trail runners which I have bought from Bass Pro for years and which are no longer offered - they had perfect support for my old broken foot and arch. The NB rep who replied suggested I try them out. . .So, a few notes: 1) It's really ALL foam rubber and soft material. They don't have real leather backing. Walking through the living room everything was fine; It got me thinking about the durability of the shoe support with regular wear - especially considering the price. 2) If from the photos you think the sock is narrow for your foot, order a wide one. I did that and the toe piece is good. 3) If you need to order a wide toe, note that the heel cup is also slightly wider. This can be an issue if, like me, you have a wide toe and narrow heel. I just can't justify keeping them at this price given the imperfect fit (heel) and concerns about the durability of the brace.
