The tank and filter will do, but a fully open filter with no sponge only requires dead fish of all sizes. This is a serious oversight by Aqueon. Lighting is acceptable but nothing special. The plastic case was riddled with scratches and they only got worse over time. In addition, it causes a lot of visual distortions when you have to look at the tank from a certain angle to get a realistic look. The tank is cheap and you absolutely get what you pay for. But if you do buy one, at least take some filter sponges with you to cover the vent: Leyouyou520 3 pcs Aquarium Foam Pre-Filter. Just remember that you might end up like me; Throw it away and spend the extra money on an expensive aquarium.
