Not sure how to install them to make them work properly

Sounds easy to install doesn't it? Guess what? I spent hours installing one of these on my 2022 Kawasaki Mule ROPS handlebar and it went sideways. I returned them and here's why: The first issue was with the molded plastic "steps" that control the up/down axis of the mirror - you can't just rotate the mirror to a random vertical position - you have to from the available positions select the mirror housing. One of the positions available may or may not be ideal and you must choose from what is available. After setting the mirror to one of these adjustment positions, it can only be checked when the vehicle is installed. , since the rotation of the mirror clamp on the ROPS tube also affects the rear view of the mirror. And if you need to change the vertical adjustment again, you'll have to remove the mirror to get to the hex screw and go through the whole readjustment and reinstallation process to test it again. This repetition gets boring very quickly. But the problem, for me at least, was that once I finally got the mirror set up the way I wanted it on the ROPS tube, the rubber "pad" material between the ROPS tube and the mirror clamp prevented a solid attachment. Once both mounting bolts were tightened, the transom moved easily through the ROPS tube. I immediately realized that a mount strong enough to keep the mirror from moving and vibrating was out of reach. There are many mirrors available that use a "rubber spacer" design to make them versatile. My recommendation is to avoid them all.
