I work in the medical field and while running IV's is not part of my job description I still run a few drops almost every day. They easily replace the classic blue rubber bands found in IV starter kits because they're made of fabric and won't pull on sensitive skin (especially in elderly patients) or hairy arms, meaning you can pull them tighter. The buckle is very easy to use and works well with one hand. My main gripe with them is their durability. The fabric is quite stretchy, but once I use it the material sags and needs more tightening (loses its elasticity). The plastic clip on the ends also falls off easily when you pull it, but I think as long as the buckle does its job, that's all that really matters. There may be better and more expensive options out there, but they fit the price point and do the job.
