This is a good remote control. I wasn't sure if it would work because some of the things that were on my previous remote are not in this remote. I previously had a Philips remote control. It works the same way and as soon as I put the batteries in the remote and turn on the TV it goes on and off, the volume is perfect, the buttons on the remote are perfect. The only thing I don't like about this type of remote controls. The position of the power button is such that it is all the way up. It's easier to snap a remote and a half into place with a simple press, which was the case with my first remote.
