After finally finding a programming lock (make/model required) I used it in place of the original. Pressing a button required you to hold it down for a split second instead of pressing and going like the original. Then after 2 weeks the panic in my car was gone. After a few minutes I was able to retrieve the original key fob and turn it off. After that it never worked again (from about the return window). I tried to replace the battery with a new and well tested battery. Nothing yet. I even walked past one of the displays showing signal strength. Nothing! At the same time, the original received the green light. DO NOT BUY THIS! THE ONLY REASON I GET THIS 1 STAR IS BECAUSE I CANNOT SUBMIT MY REVIEW WITHOUT IT.
