In descending order of importance: 1. The software will never recognize the remote control, so I couldn't program it. Of course I could "learn” all the functions manually, but I didn’t buy this remote control for that. The software requires registration. Why do I need an account just to program the remote? Even if you save the configurations, they can easily be saved locally as a small kb file. Well if you want to keep your configuration online of course. But why is it necessary?3. I couldn't cut through the plastic wrapping with the first pair of scissors I grabbed. You will need very sharp scissors or a razor blade to open the clam wrapper. The included USB cable, which is needed for programming, is so short that I couldn't connect it to my computer and put it on my desktop. I had to keep it.5. Either the micro USB cable was too big or the port was too small. It was a very tight fit.6. Micro USB. Why. Type C too expensive? Would this add $0.50 to the cost at the equivalent production scale?7. The micro USB port is on top and is open. I have no doubt that it will fill up with garbage quickly.8. While perhaps it should be rated higher, I found it amusing (and frustrating) that clicking "Help" displays instructions in German, even though the app displays English and the main page displays in English. If that remote worked without 30 minutes of frustration, including closing browsers, restarting, etc (as Harmony suggested), or if it worked at all, then this could be a good choice. But I'm returning it and looking for another option.
