I needed small paper cups to give my little dog water to drink that can be kept in the car. The bowls are great but need to be washed and returned to the car. This is convenient because they are always available when they are needed. This works with a small dog. However, the diameter could be about 1.5*diameter when designed as a water bowl for dogs in general.
