The lens is of good quality. Even better quality than a significant part of Canon lenses - nothing dangles anywhere, does not shake, everything is very well ground. Sharpening is convenient. The course of the ring is moderately tight, but very accurate. For beautiful change of plans there is a markup. The resolution of the lens is high and does not limit the ability of the APS-C sensor, like whale consumer goods. The glass gives a very high picture quality, close to what the reference Canon EF-S 17-55 gives in my understanding. And, if the difference is almost not noticeable in the photo, then in the video, especially in 720p, it is not. Everything is clear with weight - good glass is never light. I also consider the price to be quite reasonable, especially since, unlike sigma tamrons, there is a guarantee. When I went to the store, to be honest, I expected less. And I was pleasantly surprised by the quality this lens gives. As for the "barrel" - read the reviews below. The problem is quite simply solved - I personally do not use JPEG, so an extra click in the RAW converter is not difficult for me. I also recommend taking it in a store with a check - I came across a good copy, but judging by the reviews, there are those who are less fortunate.
