I bought these to use in the window frame above our door between our living room and bedroom. The windows of the house face east so we were woken up each morning by a very bright light falling on our faces. Even if someone was in the front room while someone was trying to sleep, there was enough light to partially illuminate the room. To be honest it was annoying. I used a plate with a tension rod and it works like a charm! We would like to do this sooner. The material is soft, well made and thick enough to hide direct morning light. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with this purchase!
