UPDATE: This wasn't a passing fad for my Elmo. He snuggled up happily to this pillow all last winter. He is very expressive and acts more like a dog than a cat most of the time. When he wanted to be affectionate he would pull his rug to the couch and give him a meaningful look and then onto the couch so we could put him on the couch for him. If I had any doubts that he was radiating warmth back to him, those doubts dissipated as the temperature warmed. As soon as spring came, he ignored the rug and pushed it aside to lie down on the wooden floor next to the box of catnip toys. I held it under the entertainment center and pulled it out as soon as I dropped it. He started laying down a week ago, all nice and cute as a button 😍 For the price I'll give a few more around the house so he always has a warm place to rest his old bones. I hesitated. buying something else for my picky 11 year old cat to lie on because he seems to prefer boxes, old gym bags and nothing at all. However, he has arthritis in one of his paws and I wanted something that would help warm up his old bones if he is prone to it. I'm SO HAPPY I took the risk because he LOVES it! He's reluctant to try anything new unless it has catnip in it, so I sprinkled him with catnip to get him hooked. As soon as he felt the heat radiating back at him, he was hooked. I was afraid the crease would bother him, but it is very thin and doesn't seem to bother him at all. He's a BIG boy (a healthy weight of 18 pounds, so more like a small dog) and he has room to stretch out.
