I put a 10mm washer in each screw hole to accommodate this.
Lowest A-pillar mounting profile I've seen compared to others. They now include a thin rubber pad to protect your vehicle's paintwork. The only thing I would change is to add 4 washers that fit into the recessed bolt holes on the A-pillar so the bracket has something to focus on just below the bolts. I put a 10mm washer in each screw hole to accommodate this.
