My experience with this mouse, which I've had for close to two years at this point, has been entirely favorable. Never ever failed throughout this time period The original battery lasted for about 10 to 11 months, and this was in spite of the fact that I did not turn off the mouse and constantly used it throughout the day. When the mouse started to "behave strangely" (the pointer began to roar around the screen, and if you move away from the computer a little, then in general did not react in any way), the problem was easily resolved by simply replacing the battery. When I went to a friend's house who had a laptop, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my friend's more expensive mouse has a significantly smaller working radius than mine does. This made me especially happy. My mouse, albeit jerkily, was able to move the cursor across the screen while passing through one wall (the one that was directly across from the windowsill where the laptop was located at the time)! While his mouse, which had two Duracell batteries that had been purchased on the same day, could just barely keep up with being in the same room as a laptop and near the same wall, the pointer was unable to even move a millimeter through the wall!
